Engaging Margins: Framing imagery as embodiment of cognitive processes

Engaging margins is a two-day international conference that takes place at the Université catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October 2020. It is organized by Ghent University and Université catholique de Louvain, Group for Early Modern Cultural Analysis (GEMCA).

This conference aims to assess to what extent images placed in the margins of a main literary or visual work could reflect, encourage or interact with cognitive processes. In doing so, it seeks to combine to fields of inquiry: the history of ideas and visual media in early modern Europe.

Online or in-person attendance to this conference is free and open to everyone. Registration is mandatory. Unfortunately, we can accommodate only a limited number of in-person attendees. Online attendees will receive a link with instructions shortly before the conference. Registration is possible up to 2 October 2020.

Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei.
